Moroccan midfielder Gessime Yassine is emerging as one of football’s brightest young prospects after a stellar showing at the U20 World Cup. His performances have drawn attention from scouts across Europe, with several French and Italian clubs reportedly monitoring him. Yassine, who turned professional in January 2024, has already made 55 appearances in Ligue 2, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. He was voted “Young Talent of the Month” soon after his debut and has started the new season strongly with three assists, including one against league leaders Troyes. Yassine’s composure, vision and creativity have led to calls for his inclusion in Morocco’s senior team ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
