Former Adamawa North senator, Elisha Abbo, has denied claims that he was arrested by the police over the alleged rape of a 13-year-old schoolgirl. The reports, which spread across social media on Wednesday, alleged that the ex-lawmaker was being detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja. The allegations stemmed from an incident said to have occurred on June 29, 2025, at Abbo’s Katampe residence in Abuja. They further alleged that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, popularly known as Binani, once visited their home to plead with them not to expose the scandal. He has also been accused in the past of blackmail involving a married woman and a sex tape.
