The proprietors of a popular Short Pump Indian restaurant have made a play downtown. Lehja Restaurant owners Sandeep “Sunny” Baweja and Ashok Arora recently purchased the building at 415 W. Grace St. for $950,000, city records show. The 2-story building has a roughly 1,500-square-foot restaurant space on its first floor. Baweja and Arora opened Lehja at Short Pump Town Center in 2010 and have received numerous accolades, including multiple James Beard Award nominations. “We’ve been lucky with the love from the entire town,” Baweja said.
