Fewer than three babies a year were recorded having the name in Britain from 2004 onwards, apart from four in 2012.
In the five years between 2020 and 2024, 41 babies were born with the name, equivalent to eight each year.
In Arabic, Osama means lion-like and is symbolises strength, courage and nobility.
Babies given the name fell dramatically after the murderous group’s rise in Syria, from 31 in 2014 to just four the next year.
