Rick Stein's restaurant in Wiltshire will shut its doors for good this weekend, the second blow to the celebrity chef's empire after his coffee shop closed earlier this week. The Marlborough closure comes as Stein's empire of restaurants, hotels, shops, a cookery school and online business battles falling revenues. A spokesperson for Rick Stein Restaurants said: 'We can confirm our Marlborough restaurant will permanently close with our last service on Sunday 5th October. 'All guests who have upcoming reservations have been notified and Rick Stein Marlborough gift cards can still be redeemed at any other Rick Stein Restaurants or used for online purchases. 'Our other Rick Stein restaurants, and rooms, continue to trade well.'
