“IMD-GFS model is also indicating the development of a low-pressure area over north Bay of Bengal around October 7. Bharat Forecast System is indicating development of a low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal around October 10. NCEP-GFS is also indicating development of a cyclonic circulation/low pressure over north Bay of Bengal around October 9. NCUM (G) is also indicating development of a low-pressure area over north bay of Bengal around October 10,” it further stated. Isolated heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm/lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph was also likely at one or two places in Nabarangpur and Nuapada.
