Courtesy the artist and Public Gallery, LondonThe Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB) has announced the theme and an initial list of participating artists for its fifth edition, Angels and Mara, taking place in 2026. The theme explores opposites and the space between them, responding to today’s politically fractured world. Angels and Mara appear across religions and cosmologies, roughly aligned with ‘good’ and ‘bad’. The exhibition will unfold in multiple location across Bangkok, a city colloquially known as Krung Thep, meaning ‘city of angels’. The biennale is scheduled to take place from 29 October – 28 February, 2026.
