APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – One woman in Appleton is now in custody for recently breaking her probation after allegedly stealing several food items from a local gas station. According to a release from the Appleton Police Department, during the time span from September 24 through October 1, officers responded to a gas station on the city’s north side after employees reported a possible theft. Employees let the woman know that she could use her rewards points to get the items she had asked about. Officers say the woman then started to walk around the store, grabbing multiple food items that were not included in the rewards promotion, and then reportedly putting several food items in her purse. The woman was confronted by employees about a possible theft, with the woman claiming not to have taken any items.
