Kirsty McNeill, parliamentary under secretary at the Scotland Office, stopped by Borders College to see first-hand how it is supporting economic growth in the Scottish Borders and equipping students with industry-relevant skills. The visit, hosted by Borders College vice principal Anne-Marie Sturrock, included a tour of several departments and discussions about the institution’s role in the regional economy. Both initiatives aim to improve pathways from education into employment and support sustainable economic development in the Borders.
