Big tech company, Google has announced the appointment of Nigeria’s Alex Okosi as its new Managing Director (MD) for Africa. Until now, Alex Okosi was the Managing Director for YouTube in EMEA Emerging Markets, a role he is expected to relinquish before taking on the leadership of the company’s activities in Africa. Speaking on the new role, Alex said he believes technology has the potential to massively improve the lives of Africans. Alex Okosi’s duties as Head of Google in AfricaOkosi is a seasoned media, entertainment, and technology leader. Google has been operating in Africa for over a decade and has offices in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
