Based on public feedback, South Carolina DOT has made changes to its plans to re-work the Seneca East End Intersection at 123 and EN 1st Street and SC 130, the Rochester Highway. Hannah Robinson, DOT Media Relations Manager, tells 101.7/WGOG NEWS: “SCDOT heard that dual left turns were needed to turn on to Rochester Highway from US 123. We were able to accommodate the additional turn lane and have those included in our plans. The concrete median on SC 130 was adjusted to allow vehicles to turn left on to Mill Road as well.” Obtaining right-of-way for the project was scheduled to have begun in the summer and, according to Robinson, is ongoing.
