Newport Elks Lodge to host Halloween fundraiser for local nonprofits

Newport Elks Lodge #104 will host a Halloween party fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 6-10 p.m. to benefit two local organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.
The event at the lodge, 141 Pelham Street, will feature live music from local band Bar Fly, raffles, silent auctions and snacks.
Bar Fly will take the stage at 7 p.m., donating their performance to support the cause.
Proceeds will benefit the James L. Maher Center and Looking Upwards, two Rhode Island nonprofits that provide services and resources for individuals with developmental disabilities and diverse needs.
“The Elks are dedicated to giving back to our community, and we’re proud to host this Halloween event to benefit organizations that do such important work for individuals with developmental disabilities and diverse needs,” said Joe Trilling, exalted ruler.
