This marks a key milestone in SCCL’s inter-state coal supply operations, with Tamil Nadu becoming the first consumer of coal from the Naini block. Responding positively, SCCL CMD Balram confirmed that production at the Naini coal block had commenced and that Singareni was fully prepared to supply coal via both rail and waterways. Now, an agreement has been reached for the supply of 2.88 million tonnes of coal per year from the Naini project in Odisha. In this context, it is noteworthy that Tamil Nadu will become the first consumer of coal from the Naini block.
