The Ontario government is investing $8.4 million in Milton through the second round of the Building Faster Fund, rewarding the town for exceeding its provincially designated housing target in 2024. Milton broke ground on 2,260 new homes last year, reaching nearly 130% of its goal. Across Halton Region, Ontario is investing nearly $35 million through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program. According to the province, Ontario recorded 13,910 rental housing starts between January and August 2025, a 23.1% increase over the same period last year and the highest level on record.
