Trump demanded Hamas agree to his 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza by Sunday, 6pm Washington time (11pm BST), and insisted the group will be given “one last chance” to respond. On Wednesday, Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, issued a warning which he described as the “last opportunity” for Palestinians to leave Gaza City and move south. At least 49 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza on Friday, including 31 in Gaza City alone, medical sources told Al Jazeera. In his Truth Social post, Trump assured those who choose to leave for safer parts of Gaza that they will be “cared for by those that are waiting to help”, without elaborating further.
