Dublin’s popular “Nee Naw” Help Zone night-time safety service is back this Friday, September 12th, for a six-week autumn run - supporting Freshers’ Week, Culture Night, and Dublin’s first NFL weekend. Following a hugely successful summer pilot, Dublin City Council and the Department of Justice have confirmed the return of the Nee Naw Help Zone, which will once again be based on Camden Street. AdvertisementThe Nee Naw is staffed by medics to provide first aid and medical assistance, a welfare officer to support anyone who feels vulnerable and trained security staff for reassurance and public safety. During its 14-night summer trial, the Nee Naw engaged with over 500 people. The service is continuing as a pilot programme, with the potential to be rolled out to other Irish cities in the future.
