The 100ml liquid rule at Dublin Airport has been scrapped. From last night, passengers no longer have to take liquids, gels, or electronics out of their hand luggage at security in either terminal. Instead they will be allowed to carry up to 2 litres of liquid in their carry on bag. The change, according to Dublin Airport, is thanks to a multi-million-euro upgrade by daa in the scanning technology that is used to screen departing passengers and their hand luggage before they fly. However passengers are advised that other airports in the UK and Europe are not as advanced and passengers will need to check the liquid rules elsewhere for when they are flying home.
