As the field switched to softs in the second half of the session, Leclerc established a benchmark of 1m31.266s. Alonso then marginally improved on a follow-up effort to secure the top spot, while Leclerc ended the session second and Verstappen third. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton was fourth with a 1m31.480s, just one thousandth of a second ahead of Piastri, who brushed the wall on his fastest attempt. With Alonso leading from Leclerc and Verstappen, the session hinted at another tight weekend battle under the Singapore lights.
