Editor, Roadrunner:Charlie Kirk was assassinated simply for speaking his mind. He was doing exactly what we claim to value in this country; talking, debating, engaging with those who see the world differently. When disagreement is treated as violence and actual violence is excused as “justice,” society loses its foundation. This nation was built on the premise that we can argue, protest, and even offend each other without fearing for our lives. In some countries speaking against the wrong people lands you in a cell or a grave.
