Marsh McLennan appoints McGowan as CCO, InternationalMarsh McLennan has appointed Renee McGowan as its chief commercial officer, international, who will continue to serve as CEO of Marsh McLennan India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) until early 2026, before relocating to Europe. She will report to Flavio Piccolomini, CEO, Marsh McLennan, International, in addition to the company’s global chief commercial officer, Hans van Heukelum. She joined Marsh McLennan in 2001 as an international employee benefit consultant with Mercer, after which she took on a series of senior leadership positions, before ultimately being appointed to her current role, CEO, Marsh McLennan, IMEA, in 2023. Piccolomini sees McGowan as having “global leadership experience and deep commitment to collaboration,” which he believes has her “well-positioned to steer our growth and foster innovative solutions for our clients”. Meanwhile, McGowan says she is “excited to collaborate with our colleagues across all four of our businesses, ensuring we capitalise on our collective strengths”.
