CIMA launches amnesty scheme for non-compliant directorsThe Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) is offering a one-time amnesty scheme for registered directors to settle outstanding annual fees at a discounted rate. The initiative, running from 16 September to 15 October 2025, provides a limited-time opportunity for eligible directors to regularise their status under the Directors Registration & Licensing Act, 2014 (DRLA). The scheme targets registered directors within the '1–19 covered entities' category who, as of 31 August 2025, have more than two years of unpaid annual fees. CIMA has already contacted eligible directors directly via email with participation instructions. While participation is voluntary, CIMA strongly encourages directors to take advantage of this 30-day window to return to good standing.
