One of two men wanted by the Vicksburg Police Department in connection with a drive-by shooting earlier this month was arraigned Monday afternoon, VPD Capt. Curtis Judge said. At about 7 p.m. Sept. 8, officers responded to the 900 block of Locust Street in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, officers were advised of a verbal altercation among a group of young men and women. Police said Alvin Terrell Truitt Jr., 19, and Chauncey Lorenzo Walker Jr., 19, fired shots at individuals as they left the area.
