Aliko Dangote, the Nigerian billionaire and chairman of Dangote Industries, announced the group would expand its investment in Ethiopia. The billionaire already has a cement factory in Ethiopia, which he built at the cost of 600 million USD and installed a production capacity of 2.5 million tons. Other than the cement factory plant, Dangote is planning to construct a cement bag factory across the cement manufacturing plant in Muger City. The cement bag factory will be built at a cost of 19 million USD and it will have a production capacity of 120 million cement bags per annum. Mesfin explained Dangote would expand its cement bag plant to PP bags manufacturing.
