The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) announced that it executed 71 projects valued at Birr 65.4 billion in the 2024/25 Ethiopian fiscal year, generating Birr 18 billion in revenue and Birr 2.9 billion in profit. Yonas Ayalew, ECWC completed 34 projects and launched 28 new ones during the period. He attributed the results to stronger construction management, procurement reforms, decentralized project oversight, and the creation of a professional development institute. It also adopted international project management systems, invested in technology, and prioritized workforce development. Yonas added that new corridor development initiatives are opening opportunities for ECWC to accelerate projects, pursue fresh ventures, and strengthen its market presence.
