TODAY Sir Keir Starmer welcomed in Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish new year – by shoving one of Britain’s most integrated and patriotic minority communities under the bus. British Jews comprise less than 0.5 per cent of the population. Most live in Israel, which is the only Jewish state in the world alongside 50 majority-Muslim countries. British Jews cannot breathe, we cannot live normal lives, while members of our tiny community are being held captive, starved to the brink of death. If the PM wanted to punish Israel, there were many levers he could’ve used that would not have thrown British Jews, and our dear suffering hostages, under the bus.
