Storm Amy is expected to impact Cornwall from 12am on Saturday, October 4, until 7pm the same day, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, and possible coastal hazards. The Met Office is advising caution, particularly for those travelling or living near exposed areas. A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “West to southwesterly winds will strengthen and become rather gusty on Saturday, with gusts of 45–55 mph possible in places, and perhaps 60–65 mph along some exposed coasts, especially in the west, and briefly over more exposed hills inland.
