Greater Manchester Police said Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, died after Jihad Al-Shamie drove into a group of people outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue before stabbing a man.
Montgomeryshire & Glyndwr MP Steve Witherden has issued a statement about the incident, saying that constituents had attended the synagogue to mark Yom Kippur.
The statement read: "I am appalled and disgusted by the vile terrorist attack on the Heaton park Synagogue today during Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
"In the absence of a synagogue in our constituency, Heaton Park Synagogue is attended by people from Montgomeryshire and Glyndwr, and I have been in direct contact this afternoon with constituents who attended today, to offer help and support.
