AdvertisementLIMERICK Mental Health Week (LMHW) will celebrate its 21st anniversary this coming week, with a number of free events aimed at promoting mental health across the city and county. This year’s LMHW runs from October 6 to 12, kicking off early with an official launch during a Family Health and Wellbeing Fair at the Milk Market on October 5. The theme of this year’s LMHW is ‘Community, Connection, and Compassion’, and marks 21 years of promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. A number of free events take place across the week, including journalling for wellbeing workshops, parent and toddler storytime readings at a number of Limerick libraries, a sports day at Rathkeale Men’s Shed, concerts from the Limerick Choral Union, and a services information day on mental health supports available in Limerick. The week wraps up on October 12 with the 80km Greenway Challenge supporting men’s mental health.
