A planning application has been lodged with Wrexham Council regarding the former Colliers Arms, in Ponciau.
The pub, on Chapel Street, closed its doors in 2021 and has remained vacant ever since.
"A further first floor extension over an existing single storey extension will be constructed, alongside associated landscaping works and the provision of off-street parking."
Initially, there were plans to turn the pub, which once won a CAMRA Pub of the Year award, into a house which would also contain a dog grooming salon - but the application has been revised to remove the dog grooming element.
The planning application will be decided on by Wrexham Council at a later date.
