The scheme, launched on September 29, aims to cut traffic and improve safety around Victoria Primary School by restricting motor vehicle access during school drop-off and pick-up times. Under the trial, the road outside the school is closed to vehicles from 8.30am to 9.15am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Councillor Terry Evans, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member with responsibility for road safety, said: "It’s early days for the scheme, and we will look to gain lots more insight and data on the impact on road safety in and around the school gates and pressure points.
