The Sounds of the 60s presenter, who first found fame on pirate stations Radio Caroline and Radio London in the 1960s before joining the BBC, revealed he was critically ill with sepsis just two years ago.
I gather I nearly died but I wasn't aware of it.
Tony went on to share that his former BBC colleague, Noel Edmonds, was instrumental in his recovery.
The tour will feature an evening of classics performed by the Sounds of the 60s All-Star Band and Singers.
