John Raisen had initially taken an interest in the victim's relationship with boys before he reportedly "stole" her childhood. Leicestershire Police say Raisen took an “interest” in the girl’s relationship with boys before it “soon progressed into a sexual interest” in her. Despite knowing the girl's age, Raisen "inappropriately touched” the girl before grooming her over the next 15 to 18 months. There are several different agencies who can offer independent help and support to victims of sexual offences in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
