Michael O'BrienSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Every time Curtis and New Dorp get together on the gridiron, it’s hard not to reminisce about those exciting Thanksgiving day games of yesteryear. The battles between the schools began in 1939 and there have been plenty of great ones, although the Warriors have owned the most recent end of the rivalry, winning the last eight encounters since 2014, including last season’s 65-12 dismantling of the Centrals. Their recent success has enabled the Warriors to take an ever-so-slim 42-41 lead in the all-time series.
