Tyrrell Hatton's dad, Jeff, forced Sky Sports to broadcast an on-air apology after he accidentally blurted out a swear word during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews in Scotland.
Jeff partnered with his son for the second consecutive year in this team competition, having finished runner-up the previous season.
Coming off his Ryder Cup triumph with Team Europe, Hatton headed back to the United Kingdom to defend the individual crown he captured last year.
This marked the second explosion in mere minutes, following Robert MacIntyre's own F-bomb when his tee shot found the rough on the ninth hole.
When asked about his journey since aiding Europe in their Ryder Cup victory, Hatton responded: "Well, this certainly brings you back to reality real quick!
