Black Starlets head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum says his side will go into their final game against Cote d'Ivoire looking to avenge their group stage defeat. Ghana lost 3-0 to the Ivorians in the second group stage game at the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations, the only defeat the Black Starlets have suffered so far in the competition. "They defeated us, and it's the second time to play them, and I think it's enough motivation for us to come in strongly and make sure what happened in the group stage does not happen again." It will be the third meeting between the two teams since 2022 when Ghana beat Cote d'Ivoire to win bronze medal at this same level. In 2024, Ghana also commanded a 5-1 win over the Ivorians in their first game at the WAFU B U-17 Championship.
