On the 2nd October, 175 years of rail services in Bicester was celebrated at Bicester Village station. Oxfordshire County Council, Calum Miller MP, Bicester Village and Chiltern Railways, which operates the station, were present at the station to take part in the celebrations. They celebrated the history as well as the future, as Chiltern is set to introduce new trains in 2026, which will run through Bicester. Chiltern is also working to provide a rail connection to the east of Bicester for the first time in almost 60 years. As part of the event, a plaque was unveiled to commemorate the milestone as well as Railway 200.
