Organizers told funding needs to go on denser areaWALLOWA COUNTY — There won’t be any more Haunt Camp in Wallowa County, said JR Rymut, the founder and leader of the Halloween-themed artistic adventure. They were used in a “Spooky Story Slam” at Cloverleaf Hall that already was in the works. Rymut said grant money funded the Haunt Camp, but that stream dried up when the donors decided to invest in an area with a higher population. Previously, she had youths put together a haunted Cheesecake Laboratory and an ill-fated cruise to the Bermuda Triangle. She also started the Haunt Camp with a project where she taught youths to make prosthetic masks such as those used in motion pictures.
