Lucy Huisinga died at age 30 on March 5, 1889, and had the distinction of being the first to be interred in the Holland Township Cemetery.
It was the location on Saturday for the second annual “cemetery walk” hosted by the Kandiyohi County Historical Society.

He led his family to western Minnesota to farm, and helped organize Holland Township and played an important role in the Christian Reformed Church in the community.
