“Extintos: The Beauty of Endangered Amphibians From Brazil” is on display through Oct. 18 in the Reese Bullen Gallery on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus.
As part of a joint initiative of art and science with Professor and Research Associate Pedro Peloso from the Biological Sciences Department and Professor Brandice Guerra from Art + Film, Cal Poly Humboldt hosted three scientific illustration interns over the past two years.
The goal was to document and illustrate extinct and endangered species of amphibians from Brazil.
Also featuring amphibian specimens from the Cal Poly Humboldt Vertebrate Museum, current undergraduate students highlight the plight of amphibian species locally.
The Reese Bullen Gallery is located in the Art Department Building B, Room 101, on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus.
