In Messina, demonstrators on the street are responding to the appeal of the CGIL, which has proclaimed the national general strike of all sectors, public and private, as a sign of protest after the bordering in international waters of the Global Sumud Flotilla by the Israeli Navy. The city procession started at 9:30 from Piazza Antonello, crossing the main streets of the center – Corso Cavour, via Tommaso Cannizzaro and via Garibaldi – to end in the European Union square. On the street workers, students and citizens, united by the request for justice and solidarity towards the population of Gaza.
