Todd Cochrane, a true pioneer of podcasting and a champion for independent creators, passed away suddenly at age 61 on September 8, 2025. As founder and CEO of Blubrry Podcasting, Todd’s vision and leadership shaped the industry from its earliest days, empowering podcasters worldwide with innovative tools and opportunities. As host of The New Media Show and mentor to countless creators, Todd’s generosity, wisdom, and passion lifted an entire generation of podcasters. Todd Cochrane will forever be missed, but his legacy endures in every story, show, and creator he inspired. Todd was my friend, partner and totally responsible for introducing me to the podcasting world, I will deeply miss him.
