People from my homeland, including some from the Pir Panjal region, the Chenab Valley, and the Kashmir Valley, are not here to study or to work. We strive to build lives through study and honest work, yet we are made to carry the weight of suspicion. The actions of these individuals exploit the compassion of people while constructing a false perception that Kashmiri society is dishonest. Every Kashmiri student, artisan, and professional striving for dignity becomes a suspect.
