In the past two years, Essex officers have made more than 2,800 arrests for shop theft across the county. “Securing more than 320 charges in a month shows we’re actively tackling shop theft," Sergeant Christian Denning said. "A lot of this is down to the fact that people are increasingly more willing to report shop theft to us.
