Environmental health officers from Pembrokeshire Council's food safety team found three potentially dangerous products at CKs Supermarket Ltd in Narberth after concerns were previously raised. As CK's head office was responsible for the labelling of its instore bakery items, the issue affected multiple stores. Packaged food items must clearly list all ingredients in descending weight order, with allergens emphasised each time they appear either in bold, underlined, or capitalised. Cllr Jacob Williams, cabinet member for regulatory services said: "Food allergen labelling is a legal requirement to protect consumers, especially those with serious allergies, for whom even small quantities of a particular ingredient can be lethal."
