–– Ten Casper entrepreneurs made their pitches in front of a panel of judges last month, and five finalists are now preparing to give it their all for “Pitch Night” at the end of October. The Start-Up Challenge was launched nearly a decade ago as program by the University of Wyoming to encourage business growth and innovation in Natrona County. The committee then chooses five finalists to move on for Pitch Night, and the chance of receiving $50,000 in seed funding for their businesses. Pitch Night for this year’s challenge is on Thursday, Oct. 30, at Frontier Brewing Company in downtown Casper, and will be open to the public. Counteracting that was part of the inspiration behind the Start-Up Challenge.
