One person was seriously injured in a fiery crash involving a pole in Woburn, Massachusetts, Thursday morning. The Woburn Fire Department said in a post on Facebook that crews responded around 8:45 a.m. to reports of a vehicle that had struck a pole and caught fire at the Route 38 rotary. Crews simultaneously worked to extinguish the fire and used the Jaws of Life to free the driver from the car, the fire department said. Once freed, the driver was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries. Pictures posted by the fire department on social media show the car's front end was destroyed in the crash, with the pole crashing through to the windshield.
