TRAVELERS in the US are being urged to ensure they have the correct security registration before arriving in nearly 30 European countries from next month. A new law will affect hundreds of thousands of passengers traveling to 29 countries in Europe from October 12 on. It will also allow EU countries to track visitors and ensure they don't overstay. This will force US travelers to apply online and pay a fee to ensure they are authorized to travel into EU countries. While the EES starts on October 12, European countries using the new system will introduce the extra security procedures gradually.
