Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is hoping the the U.S. Supreme Court will reverse a decision that he believes removed a needed deterrent against child predators. The multi-state letter emphasized that the Kennedy decision stripped states of a vital tool to punish and deter predators who commit the most extreme sexual assaults against children. “Alabama has long been a leader in standing up for the rule of law and for the protection of children,” Marshall said. “We must use every tool at our disposal to protect children, deter predators, and impose just punishment,” Marshall continued.
