Long after the construction of the new Caddo Lake bridge was completed, drivers in the Oil City area are again about to have to deal with some traffic challenges. Get our free mobile appIn an announcement from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, we learn that today marks the beginning of a new $4.7 million project to repair a portion of LA 530 near the Town of Oil City in north Caddo Parish. Related work also includes the replacement of cross drain pipes located under the roadway that help ensure adequate and proper drainage. LA 530 will need to be closed during this work, and further details will be announced when that is scheduled.
