The new retail unit will be located at Lakelands Retail Park on Cornagrade Road. The application was approved by the council, with the condition that the retail unit must be occupied by Lidl only, to protect the "vitality and viability" of Enniskillen Town Centre. The gross retail floor space of the store is not to exceed 2,545 square metres, with the net floor space capped at 1,742 square metres. Of this, no more than 1,394 square metres can be used for the sale and display of certain items, including food, drinks, and tobacco. The store can only use up to 348 square metres of sales area for the retail sale of comparison goods.
